Roger Berg, Executive Director

Merry Christmas! At this time of year, we are always faced with Christmas trees, laughter, parties, sparkling lights and a little more joy in the air. At Haven on the Queensway we have certainly had joyous times as we were able to provide for thousands and thousands of people this year. Seeing our values compassion, respect, and dignity in action and hearing about the impact a kind word or smile has, is truly heartwarming.

We also recognize that for some, this time of year brings challenges and struggles and at the Haven they are always on our mind. It's important to acknowledge these difficulties and stand together to help provide security and continue to bring kindness and joy to those in need.

This year has been a testament to the resilience of our staff, volunteers and community. Despite the recent hurdles, what continues to inspire me is the support we've received from our incredible community. Together, we've worked to always strive to reach the common goal of enhancing the quality of life for those in need.

So, as you gather this Christmas let’s also remember those that are facing unique challenges. On behalf of myself and the Haven on the Queensway staff, we Thank You for your unwavering commitment to our community that spreads the spirit of Christmas throughout the whole year not only in December.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
