Team building / Group volunteering

Looking for a great group volunteer / team building/ group bonding event?  Packing Kits for a Cause is a great way to have fun and engage your team of 5 or 500 people to make a difference by building survival kits for men, women, youth and children. These kits will be given by our programs to those less fortunate in our community and to homeless adults, youth and children.

We currently have openings for

Food Bank – Tuesday and/or Wednesdays, daytime

Clothing Boutique – Monday to Friday – daytime: sorting and hanging clothing

Seniors Helping Seniors – Team Visits to isolated seniors in our community

First Care – Pre-natal and post natal follow-up, making baby bags

Please download and complete the Volunteer Application Form. A current "vulnerable sector screening" (VSS) police check will be required as well. The Haven will notify you when to start the VSS process if you have not had one done within the last 3 years. Everyone is welcome to help, including high school students looking to complete their community hours. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.

Please submit both forms to info@havenontheq.com or drop them off at our office at 1533 The Queensway, Toronto, ON, M8Z 1T8.

Our goal this year is to raise $2,500.00 and we hope we can count on you!  Your $50.00 gift will provide a child a new back pack with all the essentials to start a new school year. (you will receive tax receipt with any donation over $20.00)

IN KIND DONATIONS – We are asking for: lined paper, notebooks, geometry sets, pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, binders

Will you help our kids? Your gift will have tremendous impact on their lives by helping them with their skills, vision and motivation to change the cycle of poverty.  Thank you for partnering with us to help our kids.
